Relationship with God is so simple compared to what we often make it. Often we make it more complicated than the Lord meant things to be.
“But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3 NASB)
It helps to remember that God modeled human relationships off of the one He desires to have with us.
It’s like the relationship of Father and child, of a husband and his bride, of two best friends or two siblings. It’s this all in one and more! Seeing things this way will help us as we seek to grow in intimacy with Jesus.
Let’s go for the closest relationship with Jesus we can have. Let nothing hold you back.
Without fear, approach His throne of grace. Come boldly asking Him to make you one with Himself and closer than ever before.
Jesus gave His life to make the way for you to have an intimate connection with Himself. He loves you and longs to spend time with you and to do life with you. In fact, He desires to live through us in this life, filling us to overflowing as His vessels of love, life and light to a dark and needy world. The only way this can be is again, through a daily, personal and intimate relationship with Him.
As we pursue knowing Him as our closest Companion, we will desire more to live for Him alone, loving Him and others with the same love He has for us. So let go of all complication, and just go be with this One who loves you more than any other!
