Releasing God’s encouragement to souls in need.

Jesus Holds You Close

In the season of testing, of shaking all that needs shaking, it’s a time of pushing through the trial and walking the waves of the storm.

It’s a journey where you discover not all see His heart in you in the way you’d think they should, but you learn to just let go and rest in His arms. This time of standing in who God says you are despite the arrows flying all around.

A season of moments where you hit the wall of your weakness, fall down hard but He lifts you up so fast with His love surrounding you like a whirlwind until you forget the pain and feel His joy again.

It’s a beautiful season in His heart. He’s making you beautiful and you’ll see it in His time.

He holds you close. He won’t let those arrows take you down. He’s got you, He’s by your side the whole time… even when you feel He’s absent.

You make His heart sing. You bring a smile to the face of the Savior and a twinkle to His eyes of love and fire.

No matter what others think, just love them and trust Him. He will heal the pains of the surprise hurts of life.

He’s the One you’re made for, He’s the One you’re living for this time. No one and nothing else will He allow to have your affections anymore.

The season of new heart songs from the deepest depths of truth, seeing Father God meet you right where you are. And then He takes you soaring higher than you ever thought you could go.

Do You Feel Alive?

God wants to turn every mess into something of worth.

He gives beauty for ashes. Things that seem worthless, He transforms like gold. What seems like the end of us, He turns into a testimony, bringing joy to us and others.

Like a potter with clay, the Lord is molding and shaping us. He seals our hearts with untainted love, and we find we are never alone even when others are absent. This process in the journey can be painful, but will cause us to feel fully alive.

We need not fear His hand upon us. Christ’s nearness is our good. All that’s left to do is to say “yes” to Him. As we do even the pain of His “fire” freeing us from the negative things that afflict us will be a welcome help.

All that’s left to do is to say “yes” to Jesus.

Perhaps as you read this, you feel like you are reading a foreign language. Or maybe you’re turned off from hearing about God. Honestly, in my experience, this is probably that things in life or people have caused you to be turned off of things that seemed to be God but were of man and therefore without life and joy.

Religion and ritual can be a terrible task master, and this is not Christ’s heart toward us. He directs a heart connection, a relationship with us that is ever growing, not our performance and perfection. Continue reading

In Your Deepest Need

There is One who will never forget you, One who always sees your heart. He sees your desperation for all to be made right. He sees you when no one else seems to care for you as deeply. He sees your deepest needs and the neglect you feel day after day.

He sees everything and He never leaves. He knows you better than anyone. He fulfills your needs better than any ever could. He prays for you more than any do. He loves you better than any ever will. He sees your pain and the cry of your heart to be held, ministered to, healed and comforted. Continue reading

Comfort in the Trials

If you are experiencing difficulties or challenges, know God sees you. Know His heart is for you. He answers when you cry out to Him. Don’t be afraid to call upon Him in your time of need.

The Lord is able to lead us by His Spirit far better than any human being. He is patient with us. He loves when we look to Him. He delights when we seek His way for our lives and in all situations.

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:15‭-‬16 NKJV)

Pour out your heart to Him. He can handle it. He wants to hold you close, releasing comfort and wisdom to you. He longs to speak to you from His Word. It is here where you will find His words of Spirit and life (John 6:63).

Standing Firm in the Waiting

God has made many beautiful promises to our sweet house of prayer and church. However, for a while now, things in the natural have looked very different from what He has said will come to pass.

Regardless of what it looks like, we continue to press into His heart and stand firm because we know He is the One who is faithful and true.

My own longing has been for His presence to come in a greater way, with the result being that hearts are transformed. I also desire to disciple others in worship and the prophetic. So for now we stand awaiting God to come through; without Him, we cannot go far.

In times when the promises seem impossible, we have to believe that our God will come through. We have to keep standing even in the waiting, even when it seems our Isaac is on the altar about to be taken from us again.

Our Lord, who is the Resurrection and the Life, has great plans for us all and He will not allow them to be dashed to nothing.

For our group, I know that the Lord delights in us as we seek His face and make room for His Spirit to move. He makes that clear every week as His presence touches our hearts.

Sometimes it feels so small, and we wonder when more will arise to build God’s Kingdom with us. Nonetheless, I would never trade the sweet worship times the Lord brings us for anything.

I’m not sure why He has tarried so long as we desperately need breakthrough in many areas of need. Perhaps it is because He is working a greater work in us–after all, it is God and His making us into the image of Christ that is most important.

The main thing is His heart and connecting ours with His; the rest is by His leading and our obedience when and as He does lead.
