Our Heavenly Father: The Best in Existence

Any true shepherd would go after even one of his sheep that was lost. And wouldn’t any father or mother search for their lost child in the marketplace until they were found?

And so we can know that God is a Dad unlike any other: He’s the best and most perfect parent in existence! God would search harder and longer and farther for even just one of His children than any human being could or would. He would go to more lengths than any. In fact, He did!

God went so far to rescue the very ones He created that He sacrificed His Son to save us. He so loved the world that He sent Jesus to take away our sin and give us eternal life (John 3:16-17). He so loved! He made you to love you. But He doesn’t force you to love Him back. He loves you even though there was nothing you could do to save yourself or be able to love Him back, so He did it for you: He sacrificed His Son out of His love for you.

“All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins. God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life’s blood, so that by faith in him we could come to God…” (Romans 3:23-25)

He loves you so much that He wants you to have eternal life and a relationship with Him. He wants to pour out all His infinite love on you. But because we all fall short of perfection–every single one of us has sinned (committed wrong) against God, others and even ourselves–and we are separated from God by our sin. But  because of Jesus, you will be saved if you:

  1. Ask God to forgive all of your sins and genuinely repent (turn away) from sin and turn to God.
  2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and:
  3. Believe in your heart that you’ve been set free from sin because Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins, and then He was raised again from death to life by God.

Then you are saved and have become one of God’s children! Share it with someone–you’ve made the best decision of your life! Connect with other believers and a local church to help you grow as a believer and child of God. And remember that God will never forsake or leave His children, not even when we pass away from this life, but we will have eternal life with Him forever and have relationship with Him now! At that time of salvation we are also given God’s Holy Spirit as our Helper, who guides us who believe in living rightly for God according to His Word, His will and His ways as we walk by faith in God. By His Spirit, He also teaches us His truth, helps us to love others as He loves, and pours out His own love into our hearts.

We have an awesome and compassionate heavenly Dad who loves us! Our God who longs for those who don’t know Him to turn from evil and be brought into a relationship with Him so that He can love them and love them and love them! And so He can give them TRUE LIFE – the truest of life that comes only from Him!

With love God’s arms are outstretched to you. A smile on His face and compassion flowing from His heart, He awaits the joyful moment in which you will be in His embrace!

Come to Him, all you who long for love that will never leave you lonely. Come to Him, all you who long to truly belong. Come to Him, all you who are weary, longing to be made whole.

God loves you with an everlasting love. You are His, and He paid the highest price of love for you. He knows your struggles, troubles and fears, and He longs to take your burdens upon Himself. God is the one who will truly satisfy your emptiness. He longs to give you His unfailing love, true peace and unending joy.

We Live By His Sacrifice

God made Him who had no sin to be a sin offering for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. – 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)

God, through Jesus Christ, saved our lives!

Before we were His, we were spiritually dead, and without Him we would be dead in all aspects–spirit, mind, and physical body (upon our earthly death).

But He saved us by the power of the cross, of this death and sacrifice–God loves us THAT MUCH! We owe Him our all, our everything, that we have life even in death because of His sacrifice for us.

Now shouldn’t that make you want to sing out in praise to Him, raise your arms and shout for joy and thanksgiving to Him? If not, then we need to ask God to open our eyes, our ears, our hearts to His Spirit’s love and mercy to live in us and permeate all aspects of our lives. Just ask and He will come into your heart and you will experience (again) a love like no other! Even if this love has only faded in you, just ask Him for that passion to again be like a fire in your heart. He will surely answer such a prayer!

We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that His life may be revealed in our mortal body. – 2 Corinthians 4:10-11 (NIV)

Worship God Wholeheartedly

I know that most of you know that Jesus died on the cross in order that our sins may be forgiven, that we could have a restored relationship with God by His sacrifice. Sometimes I think it helps for us to recall again all He went through for us. He suffered and died for us. Wow.

In my own experience, I just cannot cease to thank Him, to love Him, and to show Him this each and every day, through how I live my life and through worshiping Him with my whole heart.

At times let’s sing and shout praises to Him, let’s raise our hands, let’s show it through our eyes and our faces what God has done for us, what we’re feeling in our heart because of the indescribably amazing sacrifice of the truest of love that He gave!

At other times let’s stand in awe, speechless at all He has done. Even standing or sitting in reflection with your eyes closed shows emotion. Think about the words you are singing or hearing, reflect on them, let them remind you of how great, how indescribable our God truly is!

After what He did and continues to do for us in our lives, showing us His perfect love for us constantly, how can we stand motionless or, at the least, emotionless?

We’ve been made to worship! It should be our desire to worship Him with our whole hearts, to worship and love Him with all the strength of our hearts, souls and minds, in both Spirit and in truth! As Psalm 150 exclaims, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!”
